Kindergarten Teacher
September 2022 - June 2023
I am one of six kindergarten teachers at this Title 1 campus. Here, we integrate play workshop and workshop models into student learning. Topics covered included Social Science, Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Art, and SEL.
Kindergarten Teacher
September 2021 - June 2022
I worked as the kindergarten English teacher at a Japanese Immersion School and was in charge of both kindergarten classes at the school. Topics covered included History, Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Art, and SEL.
Online English Teacher
January 2020 - June 2020
Though this line of work, I gained my TEFL certificate. I taught students living in China how to speak English using the curriculum provided through an online platform.
Lead Preschool Teacher
October 2019- August 2020
I was the lead afternoon preschool teacher in the class of 4 and 5 year olds. Our learning here was play based and focused on both small and large groups. We had a theme each week that related to the interests of the students. We taught based on what students wanted to explore. This school also has a strong connection to food education through their used of garden space and family style meals. These concepts were brought into our teaching practices as well.
Daycare Provider
January 2017- June 2017
I looked after children from ages 6 months to 5 years of age. I was responsible for creating activities for the kids to do. The maximum amount of kids I had at one time was 4 to stay in ratio for working with students in this age range.
